Hei!
This is my first blog everyone, so bear with me. I'm still seeing how everything works and am trying to make this blog as informational and enjoyable as possible, and also accessible for those who are not very "tech savy".
To begin, I am not even in Finland right now. This is just my first post explaining all about my journey to come and what you can expect from my blog site.
So, as all of you know, I am going to Finland. Finland is one of three Scandinavian countries in the Northeast portion of Europe. I will be living in the city of Turku, which, fantastically enough, used to be Finland's old capital. I hope to learn much from this old historical city and you will, I'm sure, see many pictures of it when I get there.
As of yesterday I have two host families so far, and possibly may reach four by the end of my adventure. My first host family, however, have three children, one of which will be an exchange student in California this year. My second host family are dentists with four children. I am in contact with both families right now and can't wait to meet them.
My second blog post will possibly be before I leave, but if not, I will be sure to post another one as soon as my internet access in Finland is available. I will make this blog spot a job for me while I am abroad to both let all of you experience my journey, in a way, but also so I have something to do in case I miss all of you too much. :)
